What are Medicare A and B? And Do I Need A Supplement Plan?

Often people are confused as to what exactly Medicare A and B are and what they cover. Medicare and health insurance expert Robert Bache explains all in his series of instructional youtube videos.

When registering for Medicare for the first time, it can be confusing as to the differences between Medicare A and B, and to which services they entitle the user. Medicare Bob is a health insurance agent with clients among all the major healthcare providers, and in his new video, he clearly explains what Medicare does and does not cover.

1        Essentially, Medicare A and B cover all non-hospital based medical costs with the exception of prescription drugs.
2       The basic cost is $105 per month.
3       On any hospital visit, the first $1,200 of treatment is NOT covered by Medicare A and B.
4      There is a small annual deductable for Medicare, this year that deductable is $147
5      Medicare part B ONLY pays 80% of hospital costs. There is NO limit to how much you could pay for treatment in theory.

For those looking to improve their coverage from the Medicare A and B packages described above, Bob recommends either a Medicare Advantage of a Medicare Supplement plan.
